After years of working together and producing for Gstone, I am truly excited to announce that he is officially a part of Sounds by 24. As our first officially signed Artist, I would like to congratulate and thank him for his vote of trust. I will make it my mission to help him succeed and go forward in his music career.
Gstone is a songwriter and recording Artist based in South Africa. He is best known for making a name for himself in his local town, Durban. His main styles of recording music are R&B and Melodic Rap.
Our goal is to further his music career and create a name for him in his local region, namely South Africa. We are already in the works of an album and rollout strategy. Music, merchandise and exclusive content is just to name a few things, but we won’t spill everything just yet.
I’ve always kept in touch with Gstone and kept a close eye on what kind of music he released. I remember the first time he reached out to me via email asking about his mix on a track, which was probably 3-4 years ago.
Even though we have been working on tracks for years now, I never really asked him how he feels about my whole label situation and me as a producer, so to get started, I asked him to make a short interview for me to post on my label’s website.
As usual, Gstone is always honest and never sugarcoats anything.
Here’s what he said…
Making waves in my city is something I always dreamed about as kid, and really finding my core fan base, every second person got to know who your boy is, just by hearing a few seconds of a song.
For the album, I’m planning on making a type of sound that might not be very big in South Africa, but still sticking with what gets people’s ears, not really a specific sound but a body of work that doesn’t discriminate, I feel this album would be one of my best work and a reflection of myself. I was never really a singles persons but making full body project gives me enough grounds to run on and be more direct.
Working with Nikos has been different.
Never thought I’d be able to work someone who matches my energy when it comes to music, and just work in general.
I don’t see myself not working with him, working with an independent label will have its challenges because we are in different countries anyway, but by the looks of things that won’t stop what we have yet to achieve!
While we are still in the works of the album, we will keep you informed on socials and email about our progress. You can definitely expect more updates and music snippets from us. We will be going all out on the new album.
